Operation of Eco-friendly Food Market at '2024 Guro G Festival'
Operating from 10 AM to 10 PM on the 27th-29th... Introduction of card terminals in the food market
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will operate a "Safe and Eco-friendly Food Market" at the 2024 Guro G Festival, held from the 27th to the 29th of this month at Anyangcheon (Guro-dong 621-8).
The food market will involve a total of 27 groups, including resident autonomy committees from each neighborhood and private organizations. During the festival, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., a variety of food will be offered at reasonable prices.
The district plans to ▲create an eco-friendly festival atmosphere by using reusable containers ▲prepare for safety accidents through safety manual training ▲provide affordable and high-quality food without overcharging ▲enhance convenience for visitors by introducing card payment terminals.
In particular, on the 21st, a "Food Market Staff Meeting and Safety Training" was held to thoroughly prepare preventive measures and responses in case of accidents.
Additionally, to reduce the use of disposable products during the festival, eco-friendly reusable containers were prepared again this year, which will be cleaned by a professional company and reused after inspection.
Furthermore, to improve the inconveniences caused by the large number of visitors to last year’s food market, card payment terminals will be introduced at each food market booth, which is expected to greatly increase visitor satisfaction.
A Guro-gu official stated, “We have considered various aspects such as reasonable prices, safety and cleanliness, and user convenience to ensure a ‘Safe and Eco-friendly Food Market’ that everyone can enjoy,” and added, “We ask for the residents’ great interest and active cooperation.”
