On the morning of the 5th (local time), marking the 52nd anniversary of the 'Munich Terror,' a shooting incident occurred between an unidentified suspect and police in downtown Munich, Germany.
According to the daily S?ddeutsche Zeitung, around 9 a.m. near Karolinenplatz in Munich, an unidentified suspect exchanged gunfire with police. The police shot the suspect dead at the scene and reported no other casualties. Helicopters and armored vehicles were deployed to search the area for explosives.
Near Karolinenplatz, the Israeli Consulate and the Nazi Documentation Center are located about 100 meters apart.
