According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 5th, the nationwide average temperature (25.6°C), average minimum temperature (21.7°C), and tropical night days (20.2 days) from June to August all ranked first since 1973. The average maximum temperature (30.4°C) ranked second, and the number of heatwave days (24.0 days) ranked third. The only year with a higher average maximum temperature than this summer was 1994 (30.7°C).
This summer's average temperature was 1.9°C higher than the average summer temperature of previous years. The number of tropical night days was three times the average, and heatwave days were 2.3 times the average. Among 66 meteorological observation points, 36 recorded the highest number of tropical night days since the start of regional weather observations, and 10 recorded the highest number of heatwave days ever.

The nationwide average precipitation this summer was 602.7 mm, less than the average (727.3 mm). However, rainfall during the monsoon season was 474.8 mm, which is 118.1 mm more than the average monsoon rainfall. 78.8% of this summer's rain was monsoon rain, the highest proportion since 1973. Additionally, heavy rainfall was concentrated in narrow areas, with nine cases of hourly precipitation exceeding 100 mm. The nationwide average precipitation in August was 87.3 mm, the second lowest August rainfall since 1973.
