Hanbok is a traditional costume embodying the identity and values of our nation. The culture of wearing and enjoying it, called 'Hanbok lifestyle,' is designated as a national intangible heritage.
Recently, the government has been promoting the value of Hanbok through various experiential events. The Cultural Heritage Administration’s Royal Palaces and Tombs Division and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation are conducting traditional Hanbok wearing experience events at Deoksugung Palace’s Jeokjodang and Junmyeongdang until the 8th. A photo contest titled 'Beautiful Hanbok Stories in the Palaces' is also being held for photos taken wearing Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung Palaces, and Jongmyo Shrine.
