Silla University Holds Unveiling Ceremony for 'Choi Sunhwa Lecture Room'
Honoring Late Professor Emeritus Choi Sunhwa's Achievements in Social Welfare Research
Silla University held a dedication ceremony for the "Choi Sunhwa Lecture Room."
Silla University named the circular lecture room on the 5th floor of the Humanities Building as the "Choi Sunhwa Lecture Room" to honor the achievements and deep affection for the university of the late Honorary Professor Choi Sunhwa, who donated 500 million KRW to the university development fund. Professor Choi served as a professor in the Department of Social Welfare for 32 years, nurturing future generations, conducting research in various fields such as women's welfare and family welfare, and striving to improve social awareness of people with disabilities.
On the 3rd, at the Humanities Building of Silla University, President Heo Namsik, the bereaved family of the late Honorary Professor Choi Sunhwa, professors and students from the Department of Social Welfare attended the ceremony. The event included the unveiling of the nameplate, a tour of the lecture room, a congratulatory speech from the president, and a family address.
The circular lecture room on the 5th floor of the Humanities Building, now named the "Choi Sunhwa Lecture Room," holds great significance as it was the site of Professor Choi Sunhwa's final lecture before retirement.

Silla University President Heo Namsik stated, "This lecture room, now named the Choi Sunhwa Lecture Room, is where the late Honorary Professor Choi Sunhwa gave her farewell lecture, making it the most fitting place to honor her noble intentions. We will do our utmost to carry on her legacy so that our university can become a center in the field of social welfare."
