The district has installed and started operating Safe Transaction Zones at three community centers: Deungchon 3-dong, Hwagok 1-dong, and Balsan 1-dong. The zones are located at the main entrances of the Deungchon 3-dong and Hwagok 1-dong community centers, and inside a pavilion next to the main entrance at Balsan 1-dong.
The Safe Transaction Zones are equipped with real-time recording closed-circuit television (CCTV) and night lighting to ensure safety. Additionally, safety personnel are stationed during weekday working hours at Deungchon 3-dong and Hwagok 1-dong to respond promptly to emergencies.
Precautionary notices for secondhand transactions are posted on the walls of the transaction zones. They provide useful information for novice traders, such as checking items on-site, being cautious of prices significantly lower than market value, and not deleting chat histories.
The Safe Transaction Zones operate 24 hours a day, year-round. Users can utilize these spaces as direct transaction locations or select them as preferred meeting places on secondhand trading apps. The district plans to expand the Safe Transaction Zones based on satisfaction surveys and performance evaluations conducted during the pilot operation.
