KOTRA held an event with the government to promote the strengths of South Korea's Free Economic Zones. This was aimed at revitalizing overseas investment attraction.

On the 3rd, KOTRA announced that it held 'K-FEZ PR DAY' at the InterContinental Parnas Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to promote South Korea's Free Economic Zones (K-FEZ). Approximately 120 people attended, including foreign diplomatic envoys in Korea, foreign chambers of commerce, global financial institutions, and foreign media representatives.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Invest Korea introduced the current status of major industrial clusters in the Free Economic Zones, investment environment, incentives, and successful investment cases. They explained the strengths as promising investment destinations by presenting Korea's industrial competitiveness in national advanced strategic industries such as semiconductors and bio sectors, as well as areas of cooperation with foreign investment.
A new joint BI (Brand Identity) symbolizing growth and a spirit of challenge for the Free Economic Zones was also unveiled.
The Ministry plans to expand promotional methods and target audiences to further promote investment attraction in the Free Economic Zones through this event.
Park Sung-taek, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, "The Free Economic Zones, where Korea's social dynamism, excellent human resources, and dense industrial ecosystem are concentrated, are the best destinations for foreign investment," and urged, "Please actively recommend the Free Economic Zones to foreign companies interested in investing in Korea."
