6th Gwanak Youth Festival Scheduled for the 28th Around Byeolbitnaerincheon Area
Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is looking for young people to participate in ‘Starlight Rookie’ (formerly Bangguseok Concert), a program that supports the dreams of youth and recharges their weary daily lives, until the 9th.
The district, recognized as the city with the highest proportion of young people nationwide (41.4%), holds a youth festival every September to commemorate ‘Youth Day’ in order to foster a healthy youth culture and revitalize youth policies.
‘Starlight Rookie’ is one of the programs of this festival, offering live performances in various fields such as ▲dance ▲music ▲mime ▲magic, expanding performance opportunities for young artists and providing enjoyment to local residents.
The recruitment target is five teams composed of young people aged 19 to 39 who agree to the use of participation videos and other materials for youth policy purposes. However, those with ▲religious ▲political ▲commercial (for-profit) purposes are excluded.
All artistic genres capable of live performance are eligible to apply, and teams wishing to apply can scan the QR code on the announcement or card news and fill out the application form.
The district will comprehensively review creativity, originality, and suitability for the festival, and announce the final selected participants on Friday, September 13.
Meanwhile, the 6th Gwanak Youth Festival will be held around Starlight Naerincheon on the 28th.
During the festival, in addition to ‘Starlight Rookie,’ the district plans to attract interest from young people and local residents with various programs including the festival ceremony, ▲Starlight Viewing (celebratory performances) ▲Starlight Cafe (book concert) ▲Various Booths (participation booths) ▲Starlight Running (running crew) ▲Starlight Market (flea market).
