YG Announces Expansion of Scale with Asia Tour
The group '2NE1' sold out all seats for their Japan concerts following their Seoul performances.
On the 2nd, YG Entertainment announced that all shows of 2NE1's Japan tour '2024 2NE1 Concert WELCOME BACK' in Kobe (2 shows) and Tokyo (2 shows) were completely sold out. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of local fans, 2NE1 confirmed two additional performances: one on November 29 in Kobe and one on December 13 in Tokyo.
With these added shows, 2NE1 will hold a total of six concerts: from November 29 to 30 and December 1 at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo Prefecture, and from December 13 to 15 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
During their activities in Japan, 2NE1 set various new records and established themselves as a leading K-pop girl group. They were the first overseas artist to top the Oricon weekly album chart with their debut album, and their subsequent two full-length albums and three singles also achieved significant success.
In particular, the three tours held in Japan were exceptionally large-scale for a foreign female artist at the time, drawing focused attention from major local media outlets.
With 2NE1's return after 10 years, fans in Japan showed explosive demand during ticket reservations, and YG explained that requests for additional performances and related inquiries from fans who could not secure tickets flooded in.
Before the Japan tour, 2NE1 also proved their ticket power by selling out additional shows for their solo concerts in Seoul, opening even restricted view seats after the initial two shows sold out.
In response to the enthusiastic support from global fans, YG plans to further expand the tour schedule and continue engaging closely with audiences in various countries through next year.
2NE1 will kick off their 15th anniversary debut celebration with 'WELCOME BACK' at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park from October 4 to 6 for three days, then continue their global tour in Japan.
