Two Dead as Ready-Mix Concrete Truck Slips on Downhill Near Gwanak-gu Office
Driver Inspecting Vehicle, Passing Pedestrian Dies
On a road in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, a stationary ready-mix concrete truck slipped, resulting in 2 deaths and 1 injury.
According to the Gwanak Police Station and fire department on the 30th, at around 4:35 PM, a ready-mix concrete truck that was stopped on a slope near the Gwanak-gu Office in Bongcheon-dong slipped and collided with a streetlight.
During this incident, a male driver in his 70s, Mr. A, who was under the vehicle inspecting the ready-mix concrete truck, was crushed and died at the scene. A female pedestrian, Ms. B, hit the streetlight and was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but passed away. Another pedestrian sustained minor injuries to the leg.
