Abundant 'Local Gifts' Including Centum Hanwoo, Lee Daemyung, and Haeundae
Shinsegae Centum City will hold a Chuseok gift set sale at the basement level 1 food hall for 17 days from the 30th to the 15th of next month, focusing on "top-tier premium gifts" and "local gifts."
This Chuseok, the store will offer a total of 500,000 sets, an increase of 50,000 sets (15%) compared to last year. The lineup includes limited edition products such as the so-called flawless wine "Chateau Haut-Brion" (highest price 9.1 million KRW), Shinsegae's signature top-tier premium gift set series "5-STAR Luxury," and a rich selection of Busan and Gyeongnam local gifts to promote regional coexistence.
For meat sets, the "Centum Hanwoo Series" (4 types, 150,000?450,000 KRW) features carefully selected Hanwoo raised in Goseong, Gyeongnam, a region famous for its Hanwoo beef. For corporate or group customers seeking bulk purchases, six types of 1++ and 1 grade Hanwoo from Gimhae, Gyeongnam (100,000?330,000 KRW) are also available.
Additionally, new offerings include the "Luxury Hanwoo Special" (2 million KRW), which represents the top 1% of 1++ Hanwoo, and the limited edition "Shinsegae Female Hanwoo The Prime" (Dabok 350,000 KRW, Manbok 440,000 KRW), made exclusively from 1++ grade female beef cattle aged 36 months or older.
Fruit sets, which have undergone strict quality control including pesticide residue testing at the Shinsegae Product Science Research Institute, are presented as "Shinsegae Select Farm" sets under the designated origin system. Representative products include the "Luxury Select Farm Hamper" (290,000?310,000 KRW), which undergoes a three-stage selection process for sugar content, size, color, and shape, as well as the "Luxury Nut Set" (200,000 KRW).
Furthermore, seafood sets, which are meticulously tracked from purchase to processing and packaging under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' seafood traceability system, include the "Luxury Traditional Gulbi" (Special 1.2 million KRW, Manbok 950,000 KRW), salted with solar salt and cold air dried for 36 hours, and the "Luxury Jeju Winter Cutlassfish" (5 fish, 600,000 KRW) caught in the pristine waters of Jeju.
Other local gifts include the "Shinangchon Luxury Soy Sauce Set" from Gijang with a 60-year tradition, "Idaemyung-gwa Haeundae," famous for its premium Busan-style jeonbyeong, the "Gijang Seaweed and Kelp Set" from eco-certified farms, and "Jukbang Anchovy" caught using traditional methods in Jijochaehyeop, Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam.
This year's Chuseok, which arrives 12 days earlier than last year, highlights the importance of health management to overcome the lingering heat. During the joint health food set promotion, customers who purchase 200,000, 400,000, 600,000, or 1 million KRW or more will receive 10% of the purchase amount in Shinsegae gift certificates (for CheongKwanJang, 7% is offered for purchases of 500,000 or 1 million KRW or more). CheongKwanJang offers a 10% discount on major products, while Cheonjiin, a red ginseng specialty brand, offers discounts ranging from 20% up to 50%.
Wine, which has seen rising demand as a holiday gift in recent years, is available in 11 exclusive Shinsegae sets. Representative products include the Albert Bichot Burgundy Set from France (120,000 KRW) and the Hacienda Set from Spain (100,000 KRW).
Kim Jongsoo, head of Shinsegae Centum City’s food team, said, “For this holiday, we have increased the volume of our top-tier premium 5-STAR gift sets, prepared a wide range of limited edition products and brand discounts, and have put great effort into local products to promote coexistence with the local community.”
