Gyeongnam Region 2nd GED Exam Pass Rate at 74.49% ... Three in Their 70s Pass
The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced the successful candidates of the 2024 2nd Graduation Equivalency Examination for elementary, middle, and high schools, which was held on the 8th.
According to the provincial Office of Education on the 30th, out of 1,301 examinees in the province, 973 passed, resulting in an average pass rate of 74.79%.
For the elementary school equivalency exam, 53 out of 60 examinees passed, marking an 88.33% pass rate; for the middle school exam, 151 out of 201 passed for a 75.12% rate; and for the high school exam, 769 out of 1,040 passed, resulting in a 73.94% pass rate.
The oldest successful candidates in the province for this exam were a 78-year-old man surnamed Lee for the elementary level, a 75-year-old man surnamed Choi for the middle school level, and a 74-year-old woman surnamed Lee for the high school level.
Seven inmates from correctional facilities were also included in the list of successful candidates.
The provincial Office of Education will post individual scores on its website until September 6 and send the certificates of passing individually by mail.
Certificates of passing and related documents can be issued starting today at administrative offices of elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, at the civil service offices of education offices and education support offices, and on the Government24 website.
