Suncheon Hyosan High School Achieves Triple Crown at the Korea Youth Theater Festival
Students from the Suncheon Hyosan High School Drama Club achieved a remarkable feat by winning three awards at the 28th Korea Youth Theater Festival, which opened in Miryang, Gyeongnam.
Hosted by the Korea Theater Association, the 28th Korea Youth Theater Festival was held from the 7th to the 18th under the theme "Bright Imagination Play. Freedom to Make Mistakes · Courage to Correct."

View original imageAt this performance, Suncheon Hyosan High School presented a play titled "From Pluto" with 15 actors and 3 staff members to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry incident. In particular, the emotional impact of the work, the delicate acting, and direction received high praise from both the judges and the audience, earning them the Bronze Prize (group), Excellence in Acting Award (individual), and Excellence in Guidance Teacher Award.
Drama club student Bae Jin-woo said, "The experience of brainstorming the play together over several months and passionately working as a team will be a precious memory I will never forget," adding, "Although there were many difficulties, I am happy to have achieved good results."

Guidance teacher Kim Min-sung stated, "I felt proud and grateful watching the students grow while preparing for the performance," and expressed hope that "various opportunities will be provided for students to showcase their talents and continue to grow."
