Jeonnam Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung Encourages Athletes at National Skills Competition
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 27th that Superintendent Kim Dae-jung visited the venue of the National Skills Competition held in Gyeongbuk to encourage student athletes and instructors from Jeonnam.
On the 26th, Superintendent Kim Dae-jung visited Geumoh Technical High School and Park Chung-hee Gymnasium, observed the students' competitions, and held a meeting with school officials participating in the event.

View original imageThe 59th National Skills Competition is being held until the 30th at seven venues in Gumi, Andong, Gyeongju, and Pohang, Gyeongbuk, with a total of 1,755 athletes from 17 cities and provinces across the country participating in 50 different categories.
Jeonnam sent a total of 102 athletes competing in 37 categories. Among them, vocational high schools from 16 schools participated with 85 student athletes competing in 29 categories including web design and development, welding, and refrigeration technology.

Superintendent Kim Dae-jung said, “I hope you fully demonstrate the skills you have honed so far and show your abilities, and that your sweat and efforts lead to valuable results.” He added, “Please continue to support vocational high school student athletes so that they can grow into skilled technicians who lead the future society in line with the changes in the industrial society.”
