'Studio X+U' Showcases Outstanding Content
Discussing New Business Models with the Industry
LG Uplus's content-specialized studio 'Studio X+U' will participate in the 'International Broadcasting & Video Market 2024' held for three days from the 27th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, showcasing various content.
This event gathers media professionals from around the world, including the US and Asia, to discuss video content business. Various conferences and showcases related to content will be held during the event. Content companies worldwide participate to create export opportunities and present excellent broadcasting video content.
This year, the overall scale will be operated 20% larger than last year, with a total of 350 booths prepared and 277 companies from 13 countries expected to attend. Studio X+U will showcase about 10 pieces of content including the variety show 'Boss Lies', and dramas 'Fragile' and 'No Way Out: The Roulette'.
At the content showcase sharing trends for the second half of the year, PD An Jihoon plans to introduce the new high-teen drama Fragile, scheduled for release on the 9th of next month. At the conference held on the 29th, Lee Deokjae, LG Uplus Chief Content Officer (CCO), will participate as a panelist to discuss growth drivers and new business models amid changes in the media market.
Additionally, on-site, the teaser image for the spin-off work 'Mr. Smile' using the 'Mr. Smile' IP character from No Way Out will be unveiled for the first time. Various content IP-utilized goods, including mascot character Harry goods from the variety show 'Naepyeon Haja', will also be exhibited.
Studio X+U plans to hold meetings to discuss content distribution plans with numerous domestic and international broadcasters at this event. There will also be opportunities to introduce the lineup through next year to overseas business partners. In particular, discussions are expected regarding distribution plans for major variety content, including the drama 'Competition of Goodwill' scheduled for release next year.
