With more than 30 participants, including Jo Geunsu, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, the heads of the Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong branches, and cooperative presidents, the meeting served as an introduction to Representative Seo, who was appointed as a member of the 22nd National Assembly's Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans, and Fisheries Committee. They discussed key current issues facing agriculture and rural communities, such as improving the public seasonal labor program and expanding local government participation in the rural visiting bus service, and exchanged a wide range of opinions on these matters.
Representative Seo stated, "Agriculture is an essential industry that forms the foundation of our society. As a representative of farmers today, I will carefully consider the suggestions made by the branch heads and cooperative presidents, provide practical support so that farmers can focus on agriculture with peace of mind, and continue to strive for the sustainable development of agriculture."
