Financial Supervisory Service Improves 'Website Accessibility' for Financial Consumers and Industry Workers
Improved to Make Various Financial Information Easy and Convenient to Find
On the 26th, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced that it has significantly improved accessibility and convenience so that financial consumers and industry professionals can find the information they need more easily and quickly.
First, the FSS provides 19 pieces of information with high value for research and development through open API services. It integrated API services scattered across multiple websites and classified them by type to allow users to view all services at a glance.
A new navigation screen called "Usage Tips" was also created to guide users through the main convenience features of the website. The Tips screen introduces convenient functions that provide easy access to various information on the website, such as integrated search, complaint chatbots, and user-customized services.
Major financial policies and policy trends are posted on the website’s main page to enhance accessibility to the latest supervisory policies and ensure that no one experiences inconvenience when using the website.
In September, the FSS plans to provide a dedicated integrated search function for similar complaint and dispute cases to proactively resolve users’ questions, and to expand the most frequently used search function to a prominent location to improve search convenience.
Additionally, the FSS stated that it provides key financial information such as essential financial life information and financial education content. Beneficial financial information for consumers’ financial lives is comprehensively provided on "Fine," and educational programs and content from 32 domestic financial education institutions are offered through the e-Financial Education Center. As of the end of last year, the financial education content consists of 69 programs and 556 pieces of content.
To support consumers in making rational financial product choices, the FSS offers a financial product inquiry service covering all sectors, as well as financial supervisory laws, inspection and sanction information necessary for financial industry professionals, and materials related to the Financial Consumer Protection Act.
