On Japanese Broadcast: "Senkaku Islands Are Chinese Territory, Don't Forget Nanjing, Comfort Women, and Unit 731"
On the 22nd, Kyodo News reported that Japan's public broadcaster NHK's radio broadcast included statements such as "The Senkaku Islands (called Diaoyutai Islands in Chinese) are Chinese territory," "Do not forget the Nanjing Massacre," and "Do not forget the comfort women."
According to the report, around 1 p.m. on the 19th, during NHK Radio's Chinese news segment, a Chinese national external staff member made these unexpected remarks, which were not in the script, lasting about 20 seconds. This staff member is an employee of an organization contracted by NHK and has been translating and reading scripts in Chinese since 2002.
He said in Chinese, "Diaoyutai Islands and their affiliated islets have been Chinese territory since ancient times. I protest NHK's historical revisionism and unprofessional work." He then added in English, "Do not forget the Nanjing Massacre and the comfort women. They were wartime sex slaves. Do not forget Unit 731."
