OLED Shipments for Foldable Phones Reach 9.94 Million Units in Q2... Record High
Total Shipments Expected to Exceed 40 Million Units This Year
A survey revealed that the shipment volume of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) for foldable phones in the second quarter of this year reached an all-time high.
According to market research firm UBI Research on the 22nd, the shipment volume of OLEDs for foldable phones in the second quarter was 9.94 million units, more than double the 4.58 million units in the first quarter.
This accounts for about 5.2% of the total smartphone OLED market by shipment volume and 16.3% by sales revenue.
UBI Research expects the volume of OLEDs for foldable phones to increase further in the second half of this year, with total shipments exceeding 40 million units for the entire year.
