Gyeongnam Office of Education to Begin Accepting Applications for 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test from the 22nd
The Gyeongnam Office of Education will begin accepting applications for the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) starting on the 22nd.
According to the provincial office of education, applications can be submitted from that day until the 6th of next month, every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding Saturdays and public holidays.
Applicants can only make corrections to their applications during the submission period.
Applications can be submitted at high schools within the province and at the seven test districts: Changwon, Jinju, Tongyeong, Geochang, Miryang, Gimhae, and Yangsan.
Current students should apply at their current high school, while graduates should apply at their alma mater.
If a graduate's current address and the location of their alma mater fall under different test districts as of the application date, or if they are in different administrative regions within the same test district, the application can be submitted at the education support office of the test district corresponding to the current address.
Those who have passed the qualification exam, other recognized academic backgrounds, and those eligible for test accommodations should submit their applications to the education support office of the test district corresponding to their registered address as of the application date.
Long-term hospitalized patients, military personnel, and inmates may choose one among their alma mater, registered address, or actual residence to submit their application to the corresponding education support office.
In principle, the applicant must submit the application in person.
However, for persons with disabilities, inmates, military personnel, hospitalized patients, or those residing abroad as of the application date, a direct family member such as a grandparent, parent, child, or grandchild may submit the application on their behalf.
Applicants must submit the application form, application fee, ID card, and two passport-sized photos. Depending on the applicant, additional supporting documents may be required.
The photo attached to the application must have been taken after February 23, 2024, within six months of the application date.
Accepted forms of ID are: ▲Resident registration card ▲Application for resident registration card within the validity period ▲Driver’s license ▲Passport showing resident registration number and not expired (if the passport does not show the resident registration number, a passport information certificate must be attached) ▲Youth card within the validity period (or youth card application confirmation) ▲Student ID with photo, name, date of birth, and school principal’s seal.
For more detailed information on required documents, visit the notices and the career education section on the Gyeongnam Office of Education website.
When an applicant submits the application form with basic information, the receiving staff will enter the information into the application program, print the application, and verify the applicant through a series of procedures.
At this time, the applicant must accurately fill in not only their personal information but also the areas and subjects they wish to take. After checking the printed application and the receipt confirmation, the applicant must sign in block letters by hand.

After completing the online application, applicants must visit the application center in person to verify the information and pay the application fee to complete the process.
Kim Kyungkyu, Director of Career Education, advised, “Since the Korean, Mathematics, and Vocational Exploration sections apply both common and elective subjects, applicants should be cautious in choosing elective subjects to avoid any disadvantages in the college admissions process.”
He added, “We will closely communicate and cooperate with education support offices and schools to ensure the smooth administration of the CSAT.”
