KT Cloud Establishes Technology Headquarters... Dr. An Jae-seok Appointed as Head
KT Cloud announced on the 21st that it has established a Technology Headquarters and appointed Jae-seok Ahn, leader of the Container Solution Development Team at SK Telecom, as the head of the headquarters.
Head Ahn holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from Texas State University in the United States. Since 2009, he has served as the head of KT Cloud's operating system (OS) development team, director at the OpenStack startup CloudForU, and then joined KT Cloud.
Head Ahn will oversee KT Cloud's technology strategy. He stated, "Securing technological competitiveness in the cloud sector is our top priority, and we will subsequently strive to enhance our technological capabilities encompassing the field of artificial intelligence (AI)."
Chun-ho Son, who was recruited as the platform manager under the Technology Headquarters, previously served as the head of the Cloud Platform Research Institute at Megazone Cloud and is also active as a member of the Linux Foundation.
KT Cloud will participate as a headline sponsor at the "Open Infrastructure Summit Asia 2024," held over two days starting from the 3rd of next month at the Suwon Convention Center.
