The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, in collaboration with NVIDIA, is recruiting trainees for the ‘AI Startup Course’ aimed at nurturing innovative entrepreneurs within the province.

The AI Startup Course is part of the Gyeonggi Startup Hub operation project, providing prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs in the province with opportunities to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

This training, conducted through NVIDIA’s DLI (Deep Learning Institute) program and specialized education courses, will take place over 17 sessions from September to November, recruiting 30 trainees per session for a total of 510 participants.

The DLI program is NVIDIA’s official program that has trained over 400,000 developers worldwide. It focuses on deep understanding of AI and deep learning technologies, as well as enhancing practical project-building skills across various industries.

The DLI courses cover essential AI technologies such as ▲GPU-based deep learning ▲accelerated computing ▲data science practice ▲deep learning applications, and participants receive an official NVIDIA certification upon completion.

The specialized education course serves as a prerequisite program for acquiring basic AI knowledge. Key topics include understanding deep learning and the comprehension and utilization of generative AI.

The training will be conducted both offline at the Pangyo Startup Campus and online in real-time via the Zoom app. Trainees will learn in the latest practical environments, including NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU) cloud servers, and the training is provided free of charge.

Eligible participants include prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs, employees, and university (graduate) students within the province, and applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Startup Platform (gsp.or.kr).

Kang Sung-cheon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, stated, "This training will be an important opportunity to nurture talent in the AI field through collaboration with global big tech companies like NVIDIA. We will continue to do our best to support the development of innovative entrepreneurs who will lead the AI sector."

Meanwhile, the agency will hold an AI seminar on September 27, providing practical opportunities to improve work efficiency using Chat GPT and prompt engineering.
