People Power Party, "Im Jong-seok Cannot Cover the Sky with His Palm... This Is Not Political Retaliation"
On the 20th, the People Power Party criticized former Presidential Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok (pictured), saying "You cannot cover the sky with your palm." This was in response to Im's remarks describing the prosecution's investigation into him as "political retaliation" and "a dirty political game."
Kim Yeon-ju, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a verbal comment that day, "The prosecution's investigation is not political retaliation but a legitimate procedure of the criminal justice system to uncover the substantive truth," adding, "Everything will be clearly revealed during the investigation process."
Spokesperson Kim also pointedly said, "We hope he reflects on his own words that 'one must fear the people'."
