Gyeongbok University Lifelong Education College's 'Companion Animal Pet Sitter' Course Opening
View original imageGyeongbok University Lifelong Education College has launched a 'Pet Sitter' (Certification) course.
This course, offered to residents of Namyangju City, was established under a supply agreement between Gyeongbok University and Namyangju City.
The main curriculum is designed to help learners understand the behavior of companion dogs, acquire handling skills, obtain certification, and eventually find employment in related fields.
The education will be conducted over eight weeks until September 25, during which participants will gain specialized knowledge in pet care through weekly assigned missions and receive support for certification examination and acquisition.

Kim Seongjae, head of the Department of Companion Animal Health at Gyeongbok University, stated, "Through this course, we hope that students will deeply understand the behavior of companion dogs and build practical skills by gaining various hands-on experiences such as luring and handling."
