On the last Friday of August, a ‘Brand New’ craft beer party for citizens is coming.

This festival, featuring a large number of famous domestic craft beer breweries, is expected to enrich the summer night atmosphere with a variety of water stage performances.

Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Ilhyung Lee) announced that the ‘2024 Dongdaemun-gu Beer Festival, BrewBrew Beer Factory’ will be held at Jungnangcheon 1st Sports Park from August 30 to 31.

Hosted by the Dongdaemun Cultural Foundation (CEO Kyungwook Kim) and sponsored by KB Kookmin Bank, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and Dongdaemun-gu, this festival is designed as an event where visitors can enjoy various craft beers and cultural performances together.

The festival features 12 famous domestic craft beer breweries, led by ‘Hwasu Brewery (started in 2023)’, known as the first generation of the domestic craft beer industry, and ‘Weizen House’, representing Daejeon and Chungcheong regions. Additionally, 15 food trucks offering ‘anju’?perfect pairings for the diverse beer flavors?will be operated.

When the cool breeze of Jungnangcheon blows at 7 p.m., cultural performances that will enhance the flavor of the beer and the happiness of festival participants will begin. The performances will take place on a water stage above Jungnangcheon.

▲ Jazz performances reinterpret well-known movie OSTs such as Howl’s Moving Castle and La La Land that everyone has heard at least once ▲ DJ performances by skilled DJs active in leading domestic clubs and festivals will be held at the festival site.

In particular, the musical concert by ‘The March Company’, composed of active musical actors from Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, offers a great opportunity to enjoy live performances of musical masterpieces such as Jekyll & Hyde, The Little Mermaid, and Les Mis?rables. The March Company musical is part of the ‘2024 Everyone Together with Art’ project.

In addition, various side events such as photo zones will be prepared for families and couples to enjoy together on site.
