Mgame Records Highest Q2 Revenue Ever with 18.1 Billion KRW...
On the 14th, Mgame announced that it recorded consolidated sales of 18.1 billion KRW and an operating profit of 700 million KRW in the second quarter of this year.
Second-quarter sales increased by 1% compared to the same period last year. Operating profit decreased by 81.3% due to a temporary increase in recurring development expenses. Despite being the off-season for online games, the company achieved its best second-quarter performance thanks to solid overseas results from its flagship PC MMORPGs, "Yeolhyeol Gangho Online" and "Knight Online," in China and the North American and European regions, respectively.
In the second half of the year, Mgame plans to release two mobile MMORPGs based on popular IPs "Gwihon" and Yeolhyeol Gangho Online. "GwihonM" conducted a beta test on One Store in May and is scheduled for release in the second half of the year after reflecting user feedback. "Jeonmin Gangho," developed by Chinese game company Kingnet based on Yeolhyeol Gangho Online's graphics, is undergoing localization work with a target release in the fourth quarter.
Additionally, the domestic version of Yeolhyeol Gangho Online will celebrate its 20th anniversary of service in November with a large-scale update including level cap increases and new map additions.
