Travel bans and driver's license suspensions were imposed on 139 individuals who failed to fulfill their child support obligations.
On the afternoon of the 13th, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family held the 37th Child Support Enforcement Deliberation Committee meeting at the Government Seoul Office to review and decide on matters related to child support enforcement, including the designation of subjects for sanctions against those who failed to fulfill child support obligations.
The Ministry decided on a total of 180 sanctions against 139 individuals who failed to fulfill their child support obligations. By type of sanction, there were 128 travel bans, 50 driver's license suspensions, and 2 cases of public disclosure of names.
Among them, the largest child support debt amounted to 178.95 million KRW, and the average child support debt was approximately 59.16 million KRW.

Meanwhile, nine government and private committee members, including the chairperson, attended this meeting. The newly appointed private members of the 4th term include Kim Shin-ho, attorney at Woo-myeon Law Firm; Hong Seung-jin, foreign attorney at Yuhan Kwangjang Law Firm; Park Geun-ung, professor at Pusan National University School of Law; Lee Sang-jung, head of the Child and Family Policy Research Center at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs; and Yang So-young, representative of Kanna Hope Supporters. The term of office for committee members is three years.
