Chungnam Police Launch Special Crackdown on Reckless Driving on Liberation Day
The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency will conduct a special crackdown on reckless driving activities on the 15th.
The police launch special crackdowns every year on national holidays such as the March 1st Independence Movement Day and Liberation Day to prevent illegal acts committed by groups of reckless drivers.
For this operation, 483 officers from the mobile and patrol units, as well as 77 motorcycles and undercover patrol cars, will be deployed. Those caught during the crackdown may face criminal charges.
Previously, the police conducted special crackdowns on the March 1st Independence Movement Day, Children's Day, and Memorial Day, detecting 187 violations.
A police official stated, "Reckless driving is a dangerous act that threatens the lives of residents. We urge everyone to refrain from illegal activities to establish a safe traffic culture."
