Composer Yoo Jae-hwan, Mother Passes Away... Heartbreaking Farewell with Mother Who Appeared Together on Variety Show
Composer and broadcaster Yoo Jae-hwan has lost his mother.
According to the industry on the 10th, Yoo Jae-hwan's mother, Jeong Gyeong-suk, passed away on the 9th at the age of 67.
The deceased's funeral was held at Yonsei University Sinchon Severance Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 6. The funeral procession will take place on the 12th at 6:40 a.m., and the burial site is Incheon Family Park Pungsan Cemetery.
Yoo Jae-hwan's mother became known to the public by appearing alongside her son on variety programs such as JTBC's 'Family Discovery Spouse,' ENA's 'Hyoja Village 2,' and tvN's 'Free Doctor.' In 'Hyoja Village,' she revealed her health condition, including a history of cancer surgery and diabetic complications. At that time, she expressed her wish to be "a good mother," worrying about Yoo Jae-hwan's panic disorder.
Yoo Jae-hwan also showed his deep affection, saying, "I need to make memories with my mother even for one more day. Every hour and minute is urgent for me. Filial piety has no end."
Yoo Jae-hwan, who worked in comedian Park Myung-soo's producing team, wrote the lyrics for Park Myung-soo's 'Myungsoo's Tteokbokki' and composed songs such as Celeb Five's 'I Buy Unseen Eyes.' He debuted as a singer in 2015 under the stage name 'UL.'
