Motorcycle Equipped with Drill Bit on Rear Wheel
Netizens Shocked: "That's Attempted Murder"
Recently, as the number of vehicles and mobility devices modified with altered wheels increases, a story about a motorcycle equipped with a drill bit on its rear wheel has sparked controversy.
On the 1st, a post titled "Mad Max Motorcycle Version Drill Bit" was uploaded to an online community. Witness A said, "I had just finished playing golf when I saw a motorcycle parked in front of the building entrance," adding, "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what was attached to the motorcycle."
In the photos posted by A, a sharp drill bit protruding from the bolts connecting the wheel to the motorcycle body is visible. Instead of the usual bolt caps on the motorcycle wheel, a perforation drill bit was installed. A asked, "They fastened a drill bit there," and inquired, "This person is really strange. Is there any way to report this?"
Netizens who saw the photo responded with comments such as, "That's basically a weapon," "It may be a personal preference, but that looks dangerous," "Maybe they need to injure a passerby's leg to realize how dangerous it is," "If someone gets hurt there, isn't it attempted murder?" "Using that as a footrest for the back seat is crazy," and "It looks like a motorcycle from the movie 'Mad Max'."
Meanwhile, this is not the first time a wheel has been excessively tuned and caused public concern. In April, a vehicle was caught modifying wheel nuts that fix tire wheels to the car in a dangerous manner, sparking controversy.
Photos posted by witness B at the time show that the wheel nuts on the front and rear wheels of an SUV were pointed like sharp needles. All five nuts, which are essential for each wheel, were replaced. The modified nuts, colored red, have excessively sharp ends, making them appear dangerous.

Every year, many damages occur due to illegal car tuning, and there are punishment laws in place. If a driver modifies part of the structural device or attaches accessories and drives on the road without obtaining structural modification approval from a municipality-approved company, they may face imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 10 million won.
