The government and the People Power Party will hold a party-government consultative meeting at the National Assembly on the 6th to discuss additional response measures and directions for institutional improvement related to the 'Timon and Wemakeprice unsettled payment incident.' This meeting is the first party-government consultative meeting held since Han Dong-hoon became the leader of the People Power Party.

View original imageAt the highest committee meeting on the 29th of last month, Leader Han urged the review of institutional improvement measures such as improving the settlement cycle of sales proceeds for e-commerce companies and introducing escrow (a payment method linked with a third-party financial institution) in relation to the Timon and Wemakeprice incident.
From the People Power Party, Leader Han, Floor Leader Choo Kyung-ho, Policy Committee Chairman Kim Sang-hoon, and members of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, which has jurisdiction over this matter, will attend. From the government side, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang-mok, Chairman of the Fair Trade Commission Han Ki-jung, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission Kim Byung-hwan, Minister of SMEs and Startups Oh Young-joo, and Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service Lee Bok-hyun are expected to be present.
