Introduced in 2021, Safety Sinmungo is an online-exclusive platform that can be easily accessed via QR codes attached throughout the site. Workers can request safety measures, including the right to stop work, report hazards, and propose various opinions to improve on-site safety.
In particular, this year, rewards for outstanding participating workers have been actively implemented, resulting in a total of 11,907 reports, including the right to stop work, received in the first half of the year alone. This is more than six times the number compared to the same period last year, with the number of reports increasing every month.
Actual accident occurrences have also significantly decreased. Especially, reports related to the right to stop work due to falls, unsecured work environments, and tipping hazards accounted for about 65%, and DL E&C reported that injuries related to falls, collisions, and entrapments in connection with these hazards have decreased by nearly half.
