Four Injured in Broad Daylight Drunk Driving Incident... Man in His 30s Booked
A man in his 30s who was driving while heavily intoxicated during the daytime and injured four pedestrians crossing a crosswalk was apprehended by the police.
On the 1st, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that Mr. A has been booked without detention on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act for drunk driving and causing injury by negligence under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Treatment, and is under investigation.
Mr. A is accused of crashing into a taxi waiting at a traffic light at an intersection in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, around 2 p.m. on the 28th of last month, injuring four pedestrians. The injured were taken to the hospital, and their lives are not in danger. It was confirmed that Mr. A’s blood alcohol concentration was at the level warranting license cancellation.
