View original imageSeoul Gangnam Police Station announced on the 1st that Im was sent to the prosecution without detention on the 23rd of last month on charges of extortion and attempted extortion. Park, the agency team leader who is suspected of conspiring with Im in the crime, was also handed over to the prosecution on extortion charges.
Im is accused of extorting 400 million won in two installments under the pretext of a settlement after a physical altercation with Kim at a bar in Gangnam, Seoul, in February 2021. At that time, Im was working as a manager at the agency to which Kim belonged.
Initially, Gangnam Police Station investigated only Im on extortion charges, but after forensic analysis of mobile phones, they found evidence that Park conspired with Im in the crime and booked Park.
