LH-Gwangju Namgu-Saemaeul Geumgo Join Hands for Warm Housing Welfare Project

LH Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters joined hands with Gwangju Nam-gu Office and Saemaeul Geumgo to pilot the Warm Housing Welfare Points project.

On the 31st, LH Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters announced that it signed a business agreement to promote the 'Warm Housing Welfare Points Pilot Project' for regional community coexistence and the revitalization of small libraries.

Through this agreement, Gwangju Nam-gu Office and LH will cooperate to revitalize the 'Firefly Small Library,' and LH and Saemaeul Geumgo will match funds for the housing welfare points.

LH's small libraries are characterized by going beyond simple reading spaces, with residents voluntarily conducting various activities such as cultural lectures, exchange events, and volunteer work.

The 'Warm Housing Welfare Points Pilot Project' awards points to residents when they visit the small library or participate in programs, and the accumulated points each month can be used to reduce management fees and more.

This pilot project was initiated by LH to promote community revitalization and to prevent solitary deaths and improve the quality of life for elderly and single-person households in rental housing.

LH plans to operate the pilot project at three small libraries in Jangseong, Naju, and Gwangju Nam-gu, gather feedback, and consider expanding the project next year.

Jung Sumi, head of LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, said, “We will continue to strive to discover new projects that can raise the happiness level of local residents through regional community coexistence and community revitalization.”
