Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay... First Ever Team Final [Paris Olympics]
The men's 4x200m freestyle relay team has successfully advanced to the Olympic final for the first time in the history of Korean swimming relay events.
On the 30th (Korean time), at the La D?fense swimming pool in Paris, France, during the heats of the men's 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Korea, with swimmers Lee Hojun (Jeju City Hall), Lee Yooyeon (Goyang City Hall), Kim Younghyun (Anyang City Hall), and Kim Woomin (Gangwon Province Office) swimming in that order, finished with a time of 7 minutes 07.96 seconds, placing 7th among 16 participating countries.
The final swimmer, Kim Woomin, who started as 6th in heat 1, lived up to his reputation as the bronze medalist in the 400m freestyle at this competition by recording a split time of 1 minute 45.59 seconds for his 200m leg, pushing Korea to 4th place in the heat. Only three countries in heat 2 finished with better times than Korea.
