Rapper Cheatkey (real name Jung Jun-hyuk)'s death rumor was revealed to be a 'fabrication' for promoting his new song. On the 30th, Cheatkey posted a short video along with a brief message saying "Nice to see you lol" on his social media (SNS).
Earlier that morning, rumors of Cheatkey's death rapidly spread on SNS and online communities. The rumor claimed that Cheatkey had fallen to his death while filming a video on the rooftop of a residential-commercial complex in Sangbong-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul the previous day.

A person known to be Cheatkey's girlfriend also posted a memorial message on her SNS saying, "I believe oppa will live freely in the world he dreamed of," which fueled the death rumors.
A person who identified themselves as Cheatkey's friend explained the accident, saying, "Cheatkey stood on the edge of the rooftop as a viewer pledge, slipped, and fell down. We called 119 and went to the emergency room, but he was declared dead due to cardiac arrest."
They added, "We thought it was a joke, so we went downstairs, but he was unresponsive. We called 119 and went to the emergency room, where he was declared dead due to cardiac arrest."
A video with the caption "Nice to see you" was posted on the Instagram of rapper Cheatkey, who was recently rumored to have passed away. The photo shows Cheatkey in the video posted on the 30th.
