HCT Achieves Record High with 43.8 Billion KRW Sales in First Half of the Year
HCT, a leading company in the testing certification and calibration industry, led by CEO Heo Bong-jae, has achieved record-high sales on a quarterly and semi-annual basis.
According to HCT's consolidated financial statements for the first half of this year, the company posted sales of 43.89 billion KRW, operating profit of 5.62 billion KRW, and net profit of 4.25 billion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 26.2%, while operating profit and net profit recorded significant growth rates of 69.4% and 71.8%, respectively.
An HCT representative stated, "With the recovery of upstream industries gaining momentum from this year, the increase in testing certification orders due to the launch of flagship smartphones and tablet products by leading domestic and international smartphone companies in the first half played a key role in this performance rise. Achieving record-high results despite the ongoing global economic downturn is very meaningful."
They continued, "The Indonesian subsidiary has successfully established itself in the local market, coinciding with the renewal period of wireless communication certifications for major local companies, leading to continued progress in the information and communication testing certification business. In the mobility sector, steady growth in demand for testing certification of high-voltage product groups such as parts for electric vehicles (EVs) is driving HCT’s performance improvement."
In the calibration business segment, advanced order achievements such as the 8.2 billion KRW contract for manufacturing calibration automation systems signed with the Military Financial Management Group are progressing smoothly, contributing to sales and overall performance growth. Additionally, the company expects further sales generation in the defense testing certification business, which has been strategically invested in, anticipating that the upward trend in performance will continue. HCT completed the Defense Reliability Center in March, capable of conducting testing certification for large weapon systems.
