View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is collaborating with global big tech companies to cultivate specialized personnel required in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry field.
On the 30th, the agency announced that it will provide practical AI education utilizing the latest technologies and platforms, with participation from major domestic and international big tech companies such as NVIDIA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Naver Cloud.
The education programs will be operated according to the trainees' levels, offering short-term courses for beginners and intermediate learners, as well as advanced long-term courses. Certificates will be issued to those who complete the courses.
The 'DLI (Deep Learning Institute) course' involving NVIDIA is a short-term course for beginners and intermediate learners, with 13 courses running from next month through November. This program provides hands-on training in core AI areas such as GPU-based deep learning, accelerated computing, and data science for a total of 400 participants. Through this, trainees are expected to develop comprehensive abilities to design and build high-performance AI systems.
The courses involving AWS, Google Cloud, and Naver Cloud are operated as advanced long-term programs. Each course offers intensive training for 8 weeks, totaling over 280 hours, through which 60 specialized personnel (20 per course) will be trained.

Kang Seong-cheon, head of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, stated, "Through collaboration with global big tech companies, Gyeonggi-do will establish itself as a hub for AI talent development," adding, "We will spare no effort to support participants in acquiring the latest AI technologies and practical skills so that they can grow into key talents leading the development of the AI industry within the province."
