KOSPI Starts Lower Amid Foreign and Institutional Selling Pressure
The KOSPI index opened lower due to simultaneous selling by foreigners and institutions.
As of 9:12 a.m. on the 30th, the KOSPI index stood at 2,748.63, down 16.90 points (-0.61%) from the previous trading day.
Individuals are net buyers with 227.5 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 60.6 billion KRW and 166.5 billion KRW, respectively.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks are declining. Samsung Biologics (1.28%), LG Energy Solution (0.91%), Kia (0.35%), and NAVER (0.06%) are rising. KB Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group, which surged significantly the previous day due to value-up effects, are falling more than 1%. SK Hynix (-2.71%), Samsung Electronics (-0.86%), and Hyundai Motor (-0.59%) are also declining.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is down 3.27 points (-0.40%) from the previous trading day, standing at 804.72. Individuals are buying 73.0 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions are selling 61.7 billion KRW and 9.5 billion KRW, respectively.
