LIG Nex1 Completes Acquisition of US Ghost Robotics
LIG Nex1 has acquired the U.S. quadruped robot specialist company 'Ghost Robotics Corp.' Founded in 2015 in Philadelphia, Ghost Robotics is a globally recognized leader in quadruped robot technology.

View original imageAccording to the announcement on the 29th, LIG Nex1, together with Korea Investment Private Equity (Korea Investment PE), acquired 60% of Ghost Robotics' shares. Out of the total shares worth 554 billion KRW (approximately 400 million USD), about 332 billion KRW (approximately 240 million USD) was acquired.
The flagship product, 'Vision 60,' boasts longer battery life compared to competitors and can move agilely and naturally over uneven terrains such as gravel fields and hills. It is also capable of rapid movement in water. It features a 'modular design' that allows for the installation of equipment optimized for different mission types and enables quick recovery and repair by separating damaged parts.
LIG Nex1 plans to establish a cooperation center in Washington DC within the year to actively prepare for entry into domestic and international robot markets.
