On the 29th, CJ Logistics announced that it had improved the safety experience center located inside the Gonjiam Mega Hub in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. The main goal was to enhance realism and raise awareness.
To this end, the interior of the safety training center was divided into two zones. The "Health Zone" added experiential equipment related to smoking cessation, alcohol prevention, and mental health in addition to the existing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. The "Accident Experience Zone" offers training including various safety accident VR experiences, helmet impact tests, conveyor belt, electrical fire, and electric shock hands-on experiences.
The training program was also expanded from the existing 190-minute course consisting of CPR and safety accident VR experiences to a 240-minute course comprising nine subjects and theoretical lessons.
In particular, the Accident Experience Zone training combined virtual and hands-on experiences. The helmet impact experience involves dropping a metal weight from a height of 0.8 meters to demonstrate the necessity of helmets and the importance of proper wearing. The fall (topple) experience simulates falling from a ladder. The electric shock experience is designed to give a sensation similar to an actual electric shock.
The safety experience center, which opened in June last year, covers an area of 230㎡. It is equipped with safety-related VR experiences, CPR and automated external defibrillator training, and various hands-on equipment. Facility improvements were carried out for about a month starting in June.
