Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Encourages Students at Hackathon Competition
On the afternoon of the 27th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the ‘YDP Hackathon Competition’ held at the YDP Future Lifelong Learning Center to encourage the students.
The ‘YDP Hackathon Competition’ was held under the theme ‘Re:play: Yeongdeungpo, Creating a Joyful City Together’ to enhance students' creative thinking skills and strengthen their scientific capabilities.
Elementary and middle school students participating in the competition engaged in activities to find problems and solutions for ‘building a sustainable smart city’ using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and learning tools.
On this day, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon made eye contact with the children and delivered messages of support and encouragement so they could freely express their innovative ideas.
