Why Did Ryugyeonggi Jungnang-gu Mayor Commend Outstanding Long-term Care Workers?
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the "1st Excellent Long-term Care Worker Commendation Ceremony" on the 23rd to express gratitude for the dedication of long-term care workers.
The event began with a pre-ceremony performance by Jungnang artist "Dalgwa Byeol" (Moon and Star) and was held to specially recognize and reward the devoted efforts and professionalism of 20 long-term care workers.
The commendation ceremony was attended by 70 people, including Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi, Jeong Chan-mi, President of the National Caregivers Association, Choi Hyun-hye, Head of the Jungnang-gu Branch of the National Caregivers Association, Kim Ji-yeon, Director of the Seoul Northeast Senior Care Worker Support Center, and Bang Se-ung, Director of the Jungnang-gu Workers' Comprehensive Support Center.
Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi stated, "In our aging society, the role and importance of long-term care workers are gradually increasing," and added, "We will work hard to improve the working conditions of about 3,700 long-term care workers employed in Jungnang-gu in cooperation with private organizations."
