BPA and Lotte Wellfood agreed last April to continue activities to realize social value by jointly promoting a 'Safety Campaign for Port Users,' and this agreement was signed as a follow-up to that initiative.
According to the agreement, Lotte Wellfood will hold a safety campaign for Busan Port users together with BPA once a year and provide 5,000 sets of chewing gum to help prevent drowsiness.
In addition, Lotte Wellfood will donate snacks worth 80 million KRW annually to 16 'BPA Hope Pantry' community refrigerators installed near Busan Port.
The 'BPA Hope Pantry' is a community refrigerator installed with support from the public cooperation solidarity fund by the labor and management of Busan Port Authority, and snacks sponsored by Lotte Wellfood will be regularly delivered to residents in vulnerable groups.
BPA Vice President Hong Seongjun said, "The regular safety campaign conducted with Lotte Wellfood will help prevent accidents caused by drowsiness among truck drivers and others using Busan Port," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our joint efforts for community contribution activities in the future."
