Enhancing Cooperative Communication Skills for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) will operate various gifted education camps for about 1,200 elementary, middle, and high school students during the summer vacation.
The "Gifted Education Camp," hosted by the Busan Office of Education and organized by the Gifted Education Promotion Institute, is held annually to foster students' collaborative communication skills and creative capabilities.
The Office of Education will run the "Future Talent Frontier Leader Development Camp" for high school students and the "Gifted Education Participants' Imagination Realization (I&D) Camp" for middle and elementary school students.
The Future Talent Frontier Leader Development Camp will be held at the Busan Transportation Corporation BTC Academy until August 9, with 996 first- and second-year high school students, including those from gifted classes, divided into six groups, each participating for two days.
From August 6 to August 8, 85 second-year middle school students from gifted education institutes in the Busan area will participate in the "Gifted Education Participants' Imagination Realization (I&D) Camp" at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center. Additionally, 120 fifth-grade students from the Elementary Gifted Education Institute and local gifted education institutes will attend the camp from August 20 to August 22.
Teachers with expertise in gifted education will serve as instructors for this camp, providing high-quality programs.
Participating students will enhance their creative problem-solving skills through team-based project activities on various topics tailored to their development stage, such as designing future cities using GraviTrax, solving social issues with generative AI, and exploring startups.
