View original imageAccording to Mo Kyung-jong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, on December 26, 2020, the nominee's spouse lent 150 million won to their second son under the pretext of a loan for purchasing an officetel.
The promissory note submitted to the National Assembly only specified the loan amount without the usual conditions such as interest rate and repayment date, and no deposit slips proving that interest payments were made on the loan amount were submitted.
Representative Mo stated, “The nominee must thoroughly clarify the suspicions of illicit gifting during the confirmation hearing process,” and added, “The nominee should sincerely submit the necessary documents.”
