Gyeonggawon, SW·AI-Based Creative Idea Competition... Applications Accepted Until the 26th
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is recruiting participants for the ‘SW Glocal Challenge’ for middle school students in the province until the 26th.
This competition is designed to enhance software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based thinking and problem-solving skills by having local youth recognize community issues from a global perspective and seek creative solutions using SW and AI technologies.
The challenge is part of the ‘2024 Software (SW) Future Filling Project,’ hosted by Gyeonggi-do and the Ministry of Science and ICT, and organized by the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency.
About 100 selected students will receive SW education and participate in preliminary rounds at the Suwon and Uijeongbu SW Future Filling Centers in August, undergo mentoring from September to October, and compete in the final competition on October 26.
The 10 teams that pass the preliminary round will receive mentoring for idea development, and all participants will be provided with Arduino-based educational electronic kits, an open-source hardware platform. Additionally, participants will have access to a free SW education program consisting of 16 sessions.
