LIG Nex1 Hosts 4th Aerospace Guided Weapons and Avionics Development Seminar
Sharing Technological Advancements in Aviation Weapon Systems
Responding to Diversified Aerial Battlefield Environments
LIG Nex1 (CEO Shin Ikhyun) held the 4th Air-Guided Weapons and Avionics Development Seminar on the theme of "Directions for the Development of Weapon Systems in Diversified Air Battlefields" at Gyeryong Spatel in Daejeon on the 18th.
About 200 key figures from the military, government, and academia attended the event, including Park Taesik, Head of PGM Division at LIG Nex1, Air Force Logistics Commander Major General Yoo Jaemoon, Air Force Headquarters Policy Research Committee Brigadier General Kim Taewook, Air Force Logistics Director Jeong Yeonseong, and Hanyang University Professor Cho Jinsu.

View original imageThis seminar consisted of presentations and an exhibition on the latest technological trends in aerospace weapon systems, as well as the company's own research achievements in guided weapons, avionics, electronic warfare, and drones.
The presentations covered topics such as: ▲Operational concepts and technology planning directions for establishing manned-unmanned combined fighter systems ▲Strategies for domestic development and collaboration in aerospace weapon systems ▲Development plans for GPS/laser guided bombs. The exhibition, held as a side event, showcased ▲Short-range air-to-air seekers and Weapon Data Link (WDL) ▲Long-range air-to-ground guided missiles ▲FA-50 air-cooled AESA, among others.
In addition, participants shared the latest technologies related to current and future aerospace weapon systems and discussed ways to advance as a "strong, advanced Air Force together with the people" and a "global company leading K-defense exports."
Launched in 2018, the Air-Guided Weapons and Avionics Development Seminar marked its fourth year and has established itself as a unique technology exchange event for LIG Nex1. Until last year, it was held at the LIG Nex1 Daejeon House, but due to its growing scale, this year's event took place at Gyeryong Spatel in Daejeon.
Park Taesik, Head of PGM Division at LIG Nex1, said, "We held in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics to further strengthen the future aerospace capabilities of the Republic of Korea Air Force and mutual cooperation among the military, government, and industry," adding, "We will continue to build an organic cooperation system to contribute to enhancing our Air Force's operational capabilities and technological advancement in aerospace weapon systems."
