To support the mental health of young people, Seocho-gu designated the Seven Eleven Yangjae Station branch, a convenience store frequently used by youth, as the "Mind Convenience Store No. 1," where they can self-assess their mental health.
By scanning the QR code available at the convenience store, individuals can perform self-checks for mental health issues such as stress, depression, and anxiety. They can also access a confidential counseling board on the Seocho-gu Mental Health Center website for private mental health consultations.
Leaflets have also been provided to allow comfortable self-assessment at home or other locations. After self-assessment, young people who need mental care will be connected to professional counseling, supporting continuous mental health management.
Additionally, 15 peer youths aged 19 to 34, who best understand young people, have been appointed as "Mental Health Supporters" to carry out supporter activities and campaigns for six months until October this year. The supporters will participate in mental health education, youth mental health campaigns, peer counseling practice, and promotion of mental health projects through social networking services (SNS).
